DAI-LAWS

DAI-Laws Denver Anime International (DAI) is a non-profit all-volunteer organization devoted to making Japanese animation and popular culture available to it's members.

Membership: A "member" of DAI is anyone who wants to be a member and is willing to adhere to DAI's official policies. To vote in DAI election, you must be in attendance during the meeting while the election is being held.

Meeting: Meetings are held once a month on the fourth Saturday of the month, from Noon to 5pm, at Gimme Anime:

2790 S Havana St
Suite V
Aurora, CO 80014

Officers: Officers are members willing to take in the official duties as follows:

Terms of office are indefinite, once elected by a simple majority. Offices are vacated when an officer resigns, or through a `challenge vote' approved by a majority of the membership during a meeting. Challenge elections are held at the next regular meeting. All elections are held during the business meeting.

  • President: Roger Morse - Run the obligatory business meeting. Approve schedules. Arrange for a meeting place. Act as mediator/arbitrator. Cannot hold the office of Vice-President.

  • Vice President: Vacant - Assist with Presidential duties. Function in President's stead when necessary. Cannot hold the office of President.

  • Librarian: Ed Luwish - Create show schedules and acquire the episodes for the meetings.

  • Webmaster: John Krukoff - Maintain the DAI website.

Policies: The following are official DAI policies concerning various matters. Members are encouraged to use these policies for their own transactions:

  • Copying: Copying of commercial domestic material is prohibited by law. While DAI does show fan-produced subtitled programs, DAI does not endorse nor will participate in the distribution of fan-produced subtitled material when a domestically-produced subtitled version is available. Please support the domestic companies.

  • Inappropriate Material: DAI will not show any material that could earn an NC-17 rating (staff's discretion on content of video).

Meeting Conduct:

  • Food & Drink: The store has no policy regarding outside food and drinks. Please make sure you clean up after yourself and pick up any trash.

  • Who's Fault is it?: Please keep track of whatever you bring to meetings. DAI is not responsible for anything lost, stolen, broken, eaten, or otherwise altered before, during, or after the meeting.

  • Be Considerate: Please keep talking in the viewing area to a minimum. DAI is a smoke free environment. And if you bring children (don't count yourself) or other small cute things (ditto), please keep them reigned in or you may not see them until dinner (*burp*)!
